Books I’ve read in 2012

I don’t expect to make a long list of books. I don’t want to rush and read as many novels as I can so that at the end of the year I may proudly show everyone a two digit number that proves me a devoted reader. No, that is far from my plan. What I want to do is to keep a list of the novels and short stories I read in 2012, so that by the end of the year I may look at it, count the titles, and promise myself I’ll do better next year (this may sound a bit mediocre for some, but hey! it’s a start!)

I read books in English as well as in Spanish, but for the sake of convention, all the titles I mention are in English. Since I want to keep a record of how many novels I read in the different languages, those which I read in Spanish will be marked with an asterisk (*)

OK, here it goes:

The Cossacks, Leo Tolstoy (*)

The Dark Is Rising, by Susan Cooper

(there are more, but I can’t remember some titles! I will continue the list later.)
